The first-ever singles pickleball league in North Wales has been launched – with an impressive take-up thus far.
“Here on [the island of] Anglesey we are always looking for new and innovative ideas to ensure its members are kept interested and develop different skill sets,” says director of Pickleball Wales Paul Byron, “hence the introduction of a monthly singles league at Holyhead.”
The singles leagues runs in parallel with two doubles competitions – one in Holyhead and one in Anglesey itself.
He adds: “Pickleball on Anglesey goes from strength to strength with an ever increasing membership base. We truly are one big happy pickleball family!”
