Amidst all the excitement and top-quality sporting action at the Skechers Pickleball Scottish Open 2024, there was also a special guest.
Judy Murray, former GB Fed Cup captain, has become a big advocate for pickleball – describing it last weekend as the “perfect fit” for Scotland, enabling people to get active without having to brave the weather!
And she stopped off at the Scotstoun Sports Centre to check out the tournament and pose for some photos.
380 competitors competed in over 900 matches in Glasgow – full results are available here for singles and doubles. In the invitational wheelchair doubles, the results were as follows: Gold – Archie Veale (55 points), silver – Lucas Town (50 points), bronze – Terry Smith (49 points).
