Pickleball’s ever-rising popularity in the USA has led to the sport’s arrival in the world of gaming. Nintendo’s new ‘Pickleball: Smash’ game now allows fans to even enjoy pickleball from the comfort of their own home!
‘Pickleball: Smash’ will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS and PC in November 2023. It will incorporate a variety of venues and minigames as well as offering single and multiplayer action.
Inspired by the inclusive nature of the real-life sport, Nintendo have created a dynamic and accessible gameplay experience for all skill levels and ages as well as offering the opportunity for players to create their own ‘champions’ – customising their own characters to compete in their pickleball tournaments.
To add an extra layer of excitement, ‘Pickleball: Smash’ introduces power-ups and special moves that players can utilize to gain an edge over their opponents. These abilities are inspired by classic Nintendo games and bring a strategic element to the gameplay.
