We asked some of pickleball’s leading lights: “What are you hoping for underneath the Christmas tree this year?”
Thaddea Lock: “Some new Skechers pickleball shoes and ProXR paddles and goodies!”
Mollie Knaggs: “I am hoping to find under the tree a fluffy highland cow and a new pink jumper!”
Louis Laville: “The oven in mine and my brother’s flat is broken so we have been struggling to cook anything not in a pan…an air fryer would be ideal for those late quick post-training dinners! And a winning lottery ticket – meaning I can play pickleball full-time!”
Julie Mac: “Guaranteed entry to the US Open senior pro bracket! It’s always been on my bucket list and I’m desperate to do it, so the plan is April 2025 US Open, here I come!”
Richard Love: “Having spent most weekends this year playing pickleball, I am really looking forward to some quality time at home with my wife and boys… that will be the best present.”
Tom Corfield: “I’m hoping Santa will bring me a drone this Christmas. I’d like to be able to take better pictures and videos of my travels.”
Louise Stephens: “There is literally nothing I want or need. We share our Christmas with Kao Pei Chuan so it’s just lovely seeing her face when she sees what Santa has left in her stocking!”
Karen Mitchell (chair, Pickleball England): “I have everything I need on a personal level but I would really like Sport England’s recognition of PbE as the governing body for pickleball.”
Nathan Parker (Wales international): “I have been playing pickleball for a couple of years now and lugging my paddles, shoes and everything else you need to play in a gym bag, I think it’s about time I upgraded to an actual pickleball bag so this is what I wish for from Father Christmas.”
