Pickleball England have just passed a huge milestone – welcoming their 12,000th member!
The governing body of the sport in England reached 11,000 members in mid-January, and are hoping they might reach 13,000 in May.
And those big numbers represent only those players who want to participate in formal events, such as leagues, tournaments or curriculum workshops. There are an estimated 45,000 people playing pickleball across the country altogether including those in informal and social settings.
Pickleball England chair Karen Mitchell tells us that Member 12,000 plays at Swindon Pickleball – welcome to that member, and congratulations to Swindon for this unique honour!
