The inaugural Welsh Nationals are now just days away – with 130 keen players heading to the University of Bangor to enjoy a weekend of competition and off-court fun.
It all starts on Friday morning, running through to Sunday, when the singles medals will be awarded.
Pickleball Wales’s Kath Knowles admits that the expected rendition of the Welsh national anthem to open proceedings is likely to bring a tear to her eye.
“It will be a very proud moment indeed,” she told Pickleball 52, “and we at Pickleball Wales just want all participants, particularly those who have never competed before, to have the best playing experience and as much camaraderie as possible with lots of smiles and laughter ringing throughout the sports halls at Brailsford Sports Centre at Bangor University.”
Good luck to everyone playing at the Welsh Nationals and to the organising team. There are now English, Scottish, and Irish Nationals. This sport is growing!
