England crowned first champions of Europe

England are the very first champions of Europe following the inaugural European Pickleball Championship in Southampton.

The team won a medal in every single event over the course of the weekend and topped the table with two golds and four silvers.

They finished ahead of runners-up Spain and third-placed Italy.

Scotland finished fourth in the women’s doubles 50+, and reached the quarter-final of the women’s doubles

Wales reached the quarter-final of the mixed doubles 50+; Ireland reached the quarter-final of the mixed doubles and the mixed doubles 50+ as well as the men’s doubles 50+.
