This International Women’s Day, the PicklePad threw open its doors to welcome female players of all abilities and experience.
That included absolute beginners, who got a quick introduction to the sport before teaming up with others to give gameplay a try.

It’s the next step in the new venue’s plans to provide a space for women to play pickleball. They already offer women-only introductory sessions, and intend to offer more advanced sessions soon. They told Pickleball 52 that they are particularly pleased to see younger women starting to play: “We help them develop and enter a pathway to competitive play or social play.”
The PicklePad, in Mudeford, Dorset, opened officially earlier this year. It offers pickleball, padel, a gym and pilates as well as a lounge.
